Hassa Buweid Tower

Hassa Buweid Tower, sometimes also called a fort, stands in the town of Al Manama, in the emirate of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. Its name translates to 'white stone'.

Hassa Buweid Tower was built in 1976 by Sheikh Rashid ibn Humaid Al Nuaimi. It is a simple square watch tower built upon a rocky outcrop. I could not find any historical information about it. If you know more; please mail me.

Hassa Buweid Tower can freely be visited. Not a very nice tower. It is too modern for my taste and almost next to it is a small garbage dump frequently visited by stray dogs.
