Daba Castle

Daba Castle, also called Dibba Castle, lies in the quiet town of Dibba Al-Bayah, in the Musandam Governorate in Oman.

Daba Castle has a large, square, concentric ground plan, with circular towers at its corners and also a circular gate tower. I read that the castle was in ruins in the 1980s before it was finally demolished. In the 1990s, the castle was rebuilt to its present appearance, which is said to differ greatly from its original design. I don't know anything else about this castle. If you know anything, please mail me.

At present Daba Castle can be visited but was closed when I came by, sadly enough. I would have liked to see the interior of this big castle. Dibba Fort is nearby.
