Sakamkam Fort

Sakamkam Fort lies north of the city of Fujairah, in the emirate of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.

I think it was built during the 19th century as an outpost of nearby Fujairah Fort. But I could not find any historical information about it. If you know anything, please mail me.

Sakamkam Fort was built on the length of a hill in the center of a village by the same name. It consists of a round watch tower, with added to its west side 2 enclosures separated by 2 buildings. It has been restored in recent years.

At present Sakamkam Fort is freely accessible. It is not signposted and there are only unpaved roads leading up to it. A nice little fort.
