Mulken Tower

Mulken Tower, locally known as Burchttoren van Mulken, stands in the village of Mulken, in the province of Limburg in the Flemish region in Belgium.
From the original castle, a fortified keep with a bailey and a farm, only the ruin of the keep remains. The eight-sided keep dates back to the 14th century, though I've also read it might date back to the 11th century. The keep is also known as the Templar Tower, though I don't know why.
The originally subterranean foundation of the keep is covered with rough silex blocks, matching the circular cellar inside. Originally, the entrance would have been on the first floor, accessible by a removable wooden staircase. This first floor would have served as the reception and kitchen level.
I haven't been able to find any information about its place in history, former owners, or who built it. So if you can provide me with this information, please email me!
The Mulken Tower is located on what appears to be a working farm. This is private property, so access is prohibited. It's a nice keep.
