Jorquera Tower

Jorquera Tower, locally known as Torre Jorquera or Torre de Jorquera, lies on a hill in the fields south of the town of Caravaca de la Cruz in the province of Murcia in Spain.

Jorquera Tower was built during the 13th century. It was a watchtower that could warn Caravaca de la Cruz Castle for advancing enemies, coming from the direction of Granada, by use of bonfires, just like La Represa Tower.

At present the fields around the tower are private property. The tower can be visited but be respectful of the surroundings. Getting to the tower however will take about half an hour of walking from the nearest dust road. Its interior is inaccessible. A nice tower in a beautiful area.
