Suhaylah Towers

The Suhaylah Towers stand above the quiet mountain hamlet of the same name, in the Al Batinah North Governorate in Oman.

I don't know anything about these towers. If you know anything, please mail me.

The towers used to protect a village, together with Suhaylah Castle. That old village between the towers is now abandoned and ruined. One tower, together with the castle, is situated on a ridge next to a wadi.

As far as I could find out, there are 2 watch towers; the one on the same ridge as the castle and another one on a hill north of the village. I was only able to visit the first, I had to photograph the second from a distance. They look restored. Their interior can not be visited. Together with the accompanying castle and the ruined village well worth your visit. There is, however, no distinguishable path or road leading to this site. I scrambled up the ridge from the side of the wadi, crossing the old village graveyard. Al Jal Tower is nearby.
