La Rochette Castle

La Rochette Castle, locally known as Château de La Rochette, lies northeast of the village of Lully, in the Haute-Savoie department in France.

Not much is known about the history of La Rochette Castle. It was built in the mid-13th century by the Lords of Cervens. It was destroyed in 1590. During the 19th century the castle ruins served as a quarry for the locals.

This is all the historical information I was able to find. If you know more; please mail me.

At present La Rochette Castle is private property and can not be visited. Too bad because it is a beautiful ruin.
