Laliskuri Castle

Laliskuri Castle lies near the village of Lalisquri, in the Telavi municipality in the Kakheti region in Georgia.

I don't have any historical information about Laliskuri Castle. If you know anything; please mail me.

I guess the castle dates back to the 17th/18th century. It is a so-called peasant castle, a 'galavani' as the Georgians call it. It is situated on the right bank of the Stora River and below Tali Tower which is situated on the hill north of the castle. The castle has a square ground plan. There is a church inside the castle walls; the St. Nicholas Church.

At present Laliskuri Castle seems to be private property and therefore not accessible. A nice castle ruin.
