Hiraat Al Sandah Forts

The Hiraat Al Sandah Forts lie in the town of Jalan Bani Bu Ali, in the Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate in Oman.

Hiraat Al Sandah is a historical neighborhood in Jalan Bani Bu Ali. It is comprised out of several fortified structures, some equipped with high, slender towers. I know nothing about them; no names, history, or anything. I suspect they were fortified residences. If you know more, please mail me.

At the edge of the neighborhood I also found a small solitary tower. Maybe it used to be part of a larger structure.

Some of the smaller structures are accessible, while the others are walled. A curious but beautiful group of buildings. Just some 400 meters south lies the large ruin of the proper Jalan Bani Bu Ali Fort.
