Berbuki Tower
Berbuki Tower stands in the village of the same name, in the Gori municipality in the Shida Kartli region in Georgia.
Berbuki Tower is situated in a fenced off area together with a church and a graveyard. It was probably built in the 17th/18th century to protect the religious site. I don't have any historical information about it. If you know more; please mail me.
When I visited the tower a local clergyman and 2 other men were having lunch (beer, bread and sausage with mustard) inside the tower. The clergyman very persuasively invited me to join. I had a great time even though we couldn't understand each other.
At present Berbuki Tower can be visited when the gates of the premises are open. A simple tower ruin.
