Bait Alnad Castle

Bait Alnad Castle, sometimes also called Bait Al Ned, lies on the east side of the village of Mahdah, in the Al Buraymi Governorate in Oman. Bait roughly translates back to 'house'.

I don't know anything about this castle. If you know anything, please mail me.

I guess it was built to protect the nearby oasis. The castle has a rectangular ground plan with 3 towers; 2 rectangular ones and a round one. The round tower probably served as a keep.

At present Bait Alnad Castle can be visited for a small fee during opening hours. Its interior is rather bare, as with almost all castles in Oman, but I liked it a lot.
