Atburgazı Castle

Atburgazı Castle, locally known as Atburgazı Kale, lies on a hill, above the village of the same name, in the province of Aydιn in Turkey.

Atburgazı Castle was built under Byzantine rule out of rubble-work masonry, and probably continued to be used during Ottoman rule. I wasn't able to find any other historical information. If you know more, please mail me.

A simple castle ruin without a lot of architectural detail. But the views over the Söke plain are great. The area directly around the castle is used to cultivate olive trees. The castle is freely accessible.

Priene Castle is nearby.
