Ajib Tower

Ajib Tower stands on a mountain north of the quiet and dusty village of the same name, in the foothills of the Al Hajar mountain range, in the Al Batinah North Governorate in Oman.

To be honest, I don't know the name of this tower or even if it has a name. I spotted it when I was visiting Ajib Castle. So I named it Ajib Tower, just to give it a name.

It has a rectangular ground plan. It is situated on a ridge. On one side it is overlooking the village and on the other side the Omani Al Wajajah border post. It was clearly built as a watch tower.

I wasn't able to find any historical information about this tower. If you know anything, please mail me.

Ajib Tower is situated on an inaccessible mountain top. And believe me, I tried… A mysterious looking tower.
